Midcentury Modern Dining Room Interior Design Ideas

In this mid-century modern dining room interior design concept, I took a long room with high cathedral ceilings, kept things all white, added oversized black-framed patio doors on either side, then painted the entire fireplace wall black, all the way to the top and balanced it with two storage cabinets on either side. The black fireplace wall is the room's feature and is softened by various contemporary art on either side. A midcentury modern light pendant adds glam to the space and perfectly centers the midcentury dining room table and chairs. I used a yellow/black contemporary distressed carpet on the floor to add texture and warmth.

The entire space is kept in a neutral palette, perfectly canvased by the bright white color on the walls. This is a space meant for entertaining and is intentionally kept bare and functional for its purpose. Hence, the sheer flowing curtains, instead of dark heavy drapes.
