Modern Bedroom Interior Design Ideas

In this master bedroom interior design project, a larger room with big windows, letting in loads of light, provided ample opportunity to dive into an eclectic contemporary undertaking while staying within a natural autumn-toned color palette. The ceiling heights made it possible to go with a large full glass chandelier that softened the space and flowed effortlessly with the color scheme. I decided to stick with all-white walls but add a feature wall utilizing a lime-wash technique that creates a cement-like finish. I then chose dark gray velvet drapes, bracketing white cotton drapes, and then hung them in front of sheer white curtains to create a visually full frame for the window area.

My furniture selection stayed within a relaxed, contemporary, and mid-century modern style. It ranged in color and texture between white, brown, and black. I chose a flat, low bedframe to create more vertical space and placed a wall-mounted light fixture on either side. Opposite the bed, I mounted identical wood frame mirrors above a black storage sideboard, providing an excellent balance to the overall room while reflecting more light. The room is finished and styled with curated abstract art, green plant elements, a soft rug, and comfortable seating. A cozy and relaxing retreat!
