This very fun ocean cottage screamed for wainscoting and wallpaper. I went with something more tropical, jungle-like, without the cliche beach house decor. The leafy wallpaper covers the entire top half of the room, with bright white wainscoting filling the bottom half. I again used the rough-cut oak wood blocks as a table stand and freed up space by installing wall lights on either side. The only nod to nautical may be the blue velvet blankets and pillow coverings and the wicker light. Everything else stays within natural cotton and white tones.

I chose two gold sprayed metal-framed beds and anchored the room with a handmade Indian rug. I stayed with off-white cross-weave drapes over sheer white curtains for the window dressing. The two art pieces above the beds are custom prints from public domain art. Additionally, I added a woven hanging chair, two dressers, and a standing mirror to the back of the room.
